I have a few debts that I would love to finish paying off. When I play the game I could pretend I am paying off my debts and heading towards financial freedom. However I wonder if by doing that I am focusing on my debts and attracting more debt? What do you think?

Hi again Daveyboy!
I have done just this playing the game, paying off debt. It feels great! What I've done, that may help you focus on the abundance rather than any scarcity consciousness, is to use some of the money each time for something that equals tons of fun and joy for you. For instance, on the $1000 day, use half for settling your accounts, and half for a trip with your family to Disneyland or something! If you settle your debts with joy and gratitude, I believe you will attract more opportunities for joy and gratitude to happen. I would love to hear others' points of view on this, perhaps from our certified guides? Thanks everyone!

I like what you said diane. Whatever I choose to do with my money when I play the game, I pay close attention to how I feel internally to feel if there is a clear, open space or if there is much resistance. In the past, when I have given accompanied by resistance, this serves no one. I end up feeling resentment, judgment and it is not a gift freely given.
I spent a portion of my cheques on my debts and I felt happy, freer, lighter and more at peace with myself. That's a great space from which to give. It was easy for me to pay off my debts through this game. This taught me much about fears that I had in real life and also what was truly in my heart. I am happy being generous and giving. It brings tremendous joy to my life.
If you give from a space of lack, fear, and doubt about there being enough then you will draw more of that to yourself. Like diane offered, if you give from a place of ease, joy and abundance, you will allow that feeling of prosperity to grow in your experience.
Enjoy your day!

Dave,
You wouldn't be focusing on your debt, you'd be focusing on having your debt be paid off (make sure you have that in your mind and feeling centers as you're doing it). And knowing that the money is continuously coming - that's part of the game - it's built in. And it can't stop coming! The only way it can stop coming is if you stop playing.
It is so much fun and so exciting to get that check because you know there will be another one tomorrow and you don't even have to do anything for it except sign into the game and decide how you're going to spend it. Having no restrictions is the fun of it. It exercises your muscle of unlimitedness. It helps you practice getting rid of scarcity thinking / feeling in a fun way and helps anchor that in your feeling body - so you will recognize it. And that will be your "go to" state of mind because you practiced it and anchored it in your consiousness in a wonderful way Let it help you move from playing small to playing on a great big field of 'all possibilities.' As you do that it raises your vibration and expectation and excitement. And then that raises your point of attraction and the Universe magnetizes what you want to you.
Do you see the difference in that? It's about vibration and feeling and learning to be in that space more often than not - and noticing what things come up that are habitual, non-serving thoughts or beliefs that you can then let go of. And you start creating from a place of joy rather than fear or obligation.
Hope that helps clarify!
Blessings,
Cheri

Cheri--
Just a brief thought to add to this conversation. Financial coaching is my chosen trade. My clients are trained to place their debt on an automatic repayment program. The initial "work" involves setting up items like online bill pay through their bank or direct draft from their accounts for credit card payments, etc. By doing so, they free their minds from the monthly refocus on their debt issues even from the perspective of "paying their debt off". They are then at liberty to refocus that energy on creating the life they truly envision for themselves. This approach may be helpful for some who are struggling. C.

Hi,
You get what you focus on and if you can focus on the "freedom", that's great, but too many of us would fall into the trap of also focussing on the debt part, which is going to lower our vibration, especially if we have a big problem.
When I first played the game I was in too much of a financial hole to be able to focus in any way on debt without feeling fear and despair. So I found it really helped to put my focus on what made me feel good. In other words, I chose to spend my "money" on the things that would raise my vibration - new clothes, a new painting, a fabulous holiday, some beautiful jewellery etc. All the things I could have once I was solvent again. Having fun imagining helped me live "as if" and created the template for a different experience. That's the beauty of the Prosperity Game.
cjnava's suggestion is good, and many wealth creation teachers like Bob Proctor, who appears in The Secret, tell us to do just that. But what do you do when you can't even make such an arrangement? This was the situation I found myself in. In the end I handed the debt problem over to my "universal manager" and worked on refocusing on what I wanted. It took a while - these things don't always happen immediately - but it worked, and I'm now in a very different place, literally as well as vibrationally!
It's not that I ignored the debt, but in order to get out of it I had to move away from it as a default state, and to do that I had to retrain my other-than-conscious mind to allow in new thought, in which "debt" played no part.
I hope this helps you!

That's terrific Joan. There are many pathways to abundance and raising our vibratory rate. Your refocusing and living 'as if' are wonderful tools that got you to where you wanted to be. Thanks for sharing your process with us.
