Warm Greetings Everyone,
I am finding that the larger the check gets, the more I tend to focus on LACK. I am up to $26,000.00 My resistance today is a 10. I have fun at first playing with all the $$, fixing up my whole house, paying off all the debts, my back taxes-and it felt really good. Then my "real" income, my pottery business ground to a halt-or better said, hiccuped-and I was really in a low ebb. Thinking of money was putting me in a state of fear and lack, so I made myself forget about the money and all the "stuff" and instead focused only on gratitude and helping others. Then business picked up a bit, now it seems to be slowing down again. I am looking into setting up some classes, which I think would be fun.
I am afraid to think about money because I do not want to think of lack. The more I focus on all the "stuff" I want, the worse it feels, so I've stopped doing that.
Has anyone dealt with this that might be able to offer me some insight? Any input would be greatly appreciated, thanks!
Julia

Greetings to you Julia!
The second go round for me with the prosperity game, I hit some negative feelings and resistance with larger amounts too. Very telling and reflective of what was going on in my life at that time. I remember feeling bothered about having to figure out how to spend the money. It felt like an unwanted chore! I was quite clear, like you, that there was much resistance. I also recall getting in touch with the part of myself that instinctively wants to be generous and kind. Right behind it, the brakes would come on due to fear, wanting to clamp down on that outflow. It's been a few years, but I remember making a conscious decision to let go of the resistance and be more open and willing to good coming in. Allowing myself to open to feeling joy and pleasure. Feeling gratitude was another huge piece.
Just like you did before, I would keep putting my attention on things that make you feel good. Really feel what brings happiness to your life. I am playing the game again and right at the start, you can write in your online gratitude journal. What a great space to come from when you start! At every step of the way, there is a recording by Elyse that I would highly recommend that you listen to.
Know that the game is working for you and stay with it.
I hope my sharing is in some way helpful to you.
Blessings,
Nicola
p.s What an awesome saying in your signature box! Appeals to the cat lover in me! I would love to see that in video!

Thank you Nicola, that was. What feels good to me is just doing the gratitude list every day, I don't bother spending the check since I get depressed when I think of money-unless I'm giving it away. And right now, herding cats is easier than thinking about money .

Do what makes your heart stay open. I used my cheques to pay bills because that felt incredibly liberating for me to do so. For others, that may make your whole insides get tight and restricted. I spent lots of money on my family because that brought me tremendous joy. I gave money to my favourite charity because I could picture each of those incredible felines who were rescued and felt happy that they were safe. What's important, is that you feel good.
On one of their recorded sessions, Abraham talks about how the subject of money gets most people all stressed. They have built up so much resistance. They talk about the importance of being in a state of allowing. I always love when they talk about petting the cat instead to get back into that open space of letting it in!
Here are a couple excerpts from Abraham workshops:
"If you have a subject that makes you uncomfortable when you think about it, it means there is strong desire related to it. Which means it really, really, really matters. So finding a way to think about it and feel good is your work. But it is equally effective to think about anything else and feel good, and let it in. You don't have to think about money in order to let in money. You just can't think about lack of money, to let in money."
"Make peace with outrageous abundance. You are more likely to have a pure vibration and attract more abundance if you leave money out of the equation. But it isn't because money is the "root of all evil." It's because it messes up your vibration, usually."
Practise gratitude. Pat the cat!

Good Morning All,
I am happy to say that I have been practising some deep breathing and meditation, and I am back in alignment again. I had no problem thinking of money and spending the check the last couple of rounds. I have found that doing the Prosperity Game for nothing other than the pure enjoyment of it is really helpful. Then I can forget all about it, and just appreciate that the fact that the game was really fun;I have indeed made peace with outrageous abundance. And yes, I pat all 6 of my cats, lest the others get jealous

Hi everyone,
In April, when this wonderful Portal debuted in our lives, I made a commitment to play the Prosperity Game every single day. I had played off and on before but got discouraged, became aloof, and certainly experienced this same resistance that this thread addresses.
By now, I have played for 134 days, which means my checks have been well over $100K for more than the last month. I have to say, in my experience, I am LOVING coming up with all sorts of splendid things on which to spend my check in full every single day.
I was just exercising today and thought, "Hm, I think we need another home. Yes. On the beach in Italy." When I was there, in Sicily last spring, I fell in love with the little beach town I where I stayed for a week. I did the same our heroine in Under the Tuscan Sun did. I went by realtor shops and looked at the properties posted in the windows. So I became familiar with exactly what is offered for what price, and I know the exchange of the euro to equate how many dollars I need to spend! By nature I am by no means a number-cruncher, but what great fun to do math this way!!
I am loving buying and sharing my prosperity through this game every single day. The other day I read the story of the inventors of Monopoly. They did just this. They played a prosperity type board game that they made up, during the Depression. They had so much fun and so did everyone around them "pretending" to buy and develop property 'as if' they were rich, within a year Parker Brothers bought their game and they became millionaires.
Works for me!!! I gently encourage everyone playing to stay with the game. Soon 'riding the wave forward' that Nicola refers to here, equals pure joy and pleasure that you look forward to each and every day!
Blessings to everyone,
diane
